Residents engage further in Wickford before PFCC public meeting schedule heads to Castle Point

Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, continued his busy schedule of public meetings when he visited Wickford this week.
Roger was joined by District Commander Chief Insp Daniel McHugh of Essex Police, Jason Gould, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, Basildon Station Manager and Julie Long, Basildon Community Safety Manager.
At the meeting audience members put questions to the panel on a range of issues including wildlife crime, youth engagement in Wickford and the wider Basildon district and police visibility across the district.

This meeting was the latest in the PFCC’s schedule of public meetings which sees the PFCC visit each of the 14 districts in Essex to hear first-hand about fire and rescue service, policing and community safety issues.
The next PFCC public meeting will be held in Castle Point district at the Council Chamber, Council Offices, Kiln Road, Thundersley, SS7 1TF on Thursday 22nd February, 2024, from 7pm to 8pm.
All people who live and work in the Castle Point district including Castle Point, Thundersley, Canvey Island, Benfleet, Hadleigh and surrounding areas, are invited to attend.
A further PFCC public meeting for the Chelmsford district will be held on Tuesday 27th February 2024 from 7pm to 8pm at The Civic Centre, Duke St, Chelmsford CM1 1JE.
All residents of Chelmsford policing district, including Danbury, Writtle and South Woodham Ferrers are invited to attend.
