Postponement of next Essex Police Challenge meeting

The Essex Police Challenge was created by Nick Alston to allow scrutiny of the Chief Constable to take place in public, in an open and transparent fashion informed by the facts.

Eight Essex Police Challenge meetings have been held to date, and video recordings of each of those events can be watched online here.

The next Essex Police Challenge event was originally scheduled for September 17, 2015, in Billericay. This meeting will not now take place.

A new date for the Essex Police Challenge will be announced shortly, and is likely to be in mid-October. At that event, members of the public will have the opportunity to ask questions of both Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh and the Police and Crime Commissioner about the Essex Police property estate and the future shape of local policing in our county.
