Get involved and “Be The Change”
Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, will host the inaugural ‘Be the Change’ youth conference on Tuesday July 1, 2014, at the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, Chelmsford CM1 1SQ.
This is an exciting and important opportunity to listen and respond to young people and their concerns around policing and safety in Essex, and work with them to develop sustainable solutions to some of the issues they face. It is the beginning of a conversation with young people that will aim to put them at the heart of decision making and change to improve the way we police, protect and provide for young people in Essex.
Young people in Essex between the ages of 15 and 18 are encouraged to get involved with the first ‘Be the Change’ youth conference and workshop hosted by the Police and Crime Commissioner of Essex. This will be an opportunity for young people to debate issues, ask questions of key decision makers, and take part in fun and interactive problem-solving workshops to ensure the voices, ideas and experiences of young people are at the heart of decision making around crime and safety in Essex.
Places are limited so please email [email protected] or call 01245 291 611 for more information and to book a place.
