We are here for you! Support available for victims and survivors of sexual abuse and violence
Synergy Essex, the Essex partnership of SERICC, Southend On Sea Rape Crisis and CARA (Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse) provides a single point of access to support victims and survivors of sexual violence and sexual abuse across Thurrock, Southend and Essex.
Rebekah Brant, SERICC Services Delivery Manager, said: “We know that survivors of sexual violence and sexual abuse may be facing further challenges during this difficult time. For those victims and survivors who are awaiting court dates it’s been particularly difficult and we are working closely with criminal justice services to ensure victims and survivors are supported and informed. As always, our specialist staff teams will ensure contact is made with the most appropriate support service that we offer. Our Independent Sexual Violence Advisers and advocates are providing support to anyone who has recently reported to the police or are awaiting updates from the courts.”
