Road safety features in discussion at PFCC public meeting for Maldon district
Police Fire and Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst hosted a lively discussion on crime and community safety at the PFCC public meeting for Maldon district.
The meeting took place on Monday 7th October from 7pm to 8pm at Southminster Memorial Hall, Southminster.
PFCC Roger Hirst was joined by Ch Insp Paul Ballard of Essex Police, Group Manager Scott Meekings of ECFRS and Richard Holmes, Director of Strategy at Maldon District Council.
Among the subjects discussed were road safety, including road signs and parking on pavements and upcoming changes to retained firefighter contracts.

“Being able to hear directly from local communities is essential,” said Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner. “This meeting was a valuable opportunity to understand your concerns and ensure we are working together to make Southend a safer place.”
The next PFCC public meeting is for Colchester district on Monday 11th November 2024 from 7pm to 8pm Royal British Legion Barfield Road, West Mersea CO5 8QX. All residents and businesses of Colchester district are welcome to attend.
