Residents can have their say at public meeting in Basildon

RESIDENTS living in Basildon have the chance to raise their crime-related questions and concerns with Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, Nick Alston.

The PCC is hosting his next public meeting to discuss local crime and community safety issues in Basildon on Wednesday February 4.

The meeting is taking place at The Woodlands School in Takely End, Basildon. It will begin at 6.30pm and will see crime trends and figures for the area discussed as well as key other local issues of concern.

The public will also be given the chance to ask their questions of PCC Nick Alston and Basildon’s District Commander Chief Insp Josie Hayes, who will also speak about what actions are being taken by local officers to keep the area safe.
