Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, today welcomed 51 new police officers to Essex Police at a Passing Out Parade in Chelmsford.
The officers, welcomed to the force at Essex Police HQ, will carry on the hard work of the force driving down crime in the county.
Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said: “Passing Out Parades are a very special occasion for the newly qualified officers and their families. It’s an opportunity to celebrate their hard work and dedication to joining the force, as well as congratulating them for completing their initial training.
“I know from my recent consultations on the Police and Crime Plan that local, visible, accessible policing is a top priority for people who live and work in Essex and today demonstrates the commitment of the PFCC and Essex Police to maintaining the force as the strongest and largest it has ever been.”
Mr Hirst was joined at the Passing Out Parade by Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, HM Lord Lieutenant for Essex, and Mr David Hurst, High Sheriff for Essex.
