PCC to host first public meeting in Thurrock
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex will be hosting his first public meeting next month in his new role.
Roger Hirst will be heading to Thurrock on Thursday June 9th where he hopes to meet with residents to hear their crime, community safety and policing related concerns. Mr Hirst will be joined by Thurrock District Commander Chief Insp Leigh Norris as well representatives of the Thurrock Community Safety Partnership.
The meeting will take place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at The Beehive in West Street, Grays, RM17 6XP and is open to everyone to attend.
The event will be the first of many Mr Hirst is planning to host in districts and boroughs across Essex as he begins a busy engagement programme to meet with residents and key community representatives.
Mr Hirst said: “I am delighted to be hosting my first public meeting as your Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex and I am looking forward to visiting Thurrock and hearing what residents have to say.
“I hope to provide people with the opportunity to air any of their crime and policing related concerns but also to give them the chance to speak with their local District Commander and Community Safety representatives.
“I encourage everyone in Thurrock to come along and have their say.”
The meeting will also provide residents with an up to date briefing on crime trend information in the Thurrock area.
The public meeting is scheduled for:
