New PCC Roadshows come to Essex

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex is delighted to announce that he will be holding his first Roadshow for members of the public next week.

It will be held on Thursday 11th June 2015, between 11:00 – 15:00 at the Lakeside Shopping Centre, Grays, RM20 2ZP. Everyone is welcome to spend a few minutes talking with the Police and Crime Commissioner. We hope that local PCSOs and Special Constables may be able to join the PCC for some of the event.

The purpose of the Roadshows are to enhance the way in which the PCC regularly engages with communities in Essex visiting busy locations at times when people are likely to be out and about. This is an addition to the current public engagement programme and will not replace the current public meeting schedule; it will be adding opportunities for more informal interaction.

Nick Alston said: “As Police and Crime Commissioner I want to meet and talk with as many people from across a wide range of communities as possible. By holding a Roadshow in a busy location like Lakeside I hope to give people who may not normally attend my public meetings an opportunity to talk about policing and community safety with me first hand.”
Nick Alston aims to hold Roadshows around the county giving the public a chance to have their say and ask questions in a more informal setting.
