Lively community safety discussion at PFCC public meeting for Southend district

Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst hosted a lively discussion on crime and community safety at the PFCC public meeting for Southend district.
The meeting took place on Thursday 26th September from 7pm to 8pm at Southend Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue.
PFCC Roger Hirst was joined by Ch Insp David Browning, Southend district commander for Essex Police, Ch Supt Leighton Hammett of Essex Police, Dave Walpole, ECFRS Group Manager, and Simon Ford, chair of the Southend Community Safety Partnership.
Among the subjects discussed were anti-social behaviour in Warrior Square, the use of e-scooters and e-bikes in the city and prisoner early release.

“Being able to hear directly from local communities is essential,” said Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner. “This meeting was a valuable opportunity to understand your concerns and ensure we are working together to make Southend a safer place.”
The next PFCC public meeting is for Maldon district on Monday 7th October 2024, from 7pm to 8pm in Southminster Memorial Hall, High Street, Southminster, CMO 7AY. All residents and businesses of Maldon district are welcome to attend.
