She understands the challenges of keeping our county safe. With her great enthusiasm and energy, I’m sure she will also help us to identify and deliver solutions for those challenges, and build ever stronger bonds with local authorities, the voluntary sector and the people of Essex.”
Jane Gardner, Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said:
“As a lifelong Essex resident, I feel proud and privileged to serve as the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner.
“I intend to work closely with local people and with key local agencies to help develop and deliver strong and safe communities, and ensure everyone feels they can contribute to identifying, developing and delivering local solutions.
“I begin my role at a very exciting time, as we launch a new Police and Crime Plan and start engaging with the public about how we can all play our part in ensuring Essex remains a great place in which to live and work.”
