Essex County Neighbourhood Watch Association members commended for service to community safety

Members of the Essex County Neighbourhood Watch Association were commended for their services to community safety at the association’s annual general meeting this week.
Essex County Neighbourhood Watch Association held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 15th May at Kelvedon Park.
Neighbourhood Watch members from across the county attended the meeting which was supported by the PFCC.
Among the members commended for their service to Neighbourhood Watch groups were Peter Salmon, Alan Leverett, Peter Birchmore and Mustapha Uluhan.
The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner annually funds the Essex Neighbourhood Watch Association which is then allocated to each of the fourteen Neighbourhood Watch Districts in the county.
Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, praised the Essex County Neighbourhood Watch Association and the members who received commendations.
Mr Hirst said: “The Essex County Neighbourhood Watch Association is a vital, valuable partner helping achieve our priorities to prevent crime and encourage volunteers and community support.
“I personally thank all the association members for their service in helping keep communities safe and drive crime down in Essex.”
