Deputy PFCC leads lively discussion on crime and community safety in Halstead and Braintree District

Deputy Police Fire and Crime Commissioner Jane Gardner hosted a lively discussion on crime and community safety at the PFCC public meeting for Braintree District.
The meeting took place on Monday, 9th September from 7pm to 8pm at the Queens Hall, Halstead.
DPFCC Jane Gardner was joined by Group Manager Steve Wintrip of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, Chief Inspecter Martin Richards of Essex Police and Cllr Mary Cunningham, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities and chair of the Braintree Community Safety Partnership.
Among the subjects discussed were speeding motorists, bike theft and the impact of the cost of living crisis on crime levels.

“Being able to hear directly from local communities is essential,” said Jane Gardner, Deputy Police, Fire Commissioner. “This meeting was a valuable opportunity to understand your concerns and ensure we are working together to make Braintree and Halstead a safer place.”
The next PFCC public meeting is for Southend district on Thursday 26th September at 7pm-8pm at Southend Civic Centre, Civic Centre Victoria Avenue, Southend-On-Sea, SS1 9SH.
