Ask your question at the Essex Police Challenge

Do you have a question about crime or policing in Essex that you want to ask the Chief Constable?  You can either send it through in advance for the Police and Crime Commissioner to ask on your behalf, or you can attend the Essex Police Challenge on Monday November 4 and ask the question personally.

The major topics for the second Essex Police Challenge will be:

– crime trends and police performance;

– domestic abuse;

– the next three years: the challenges and opportunities for policing in Essex.

Nick Alston continued: “Everyone cares about crime and about how our county is policed.  I want to use the meeting to launch a crucial debate about how policing will change and develop during the next few years.  I also want to highlight the challenges of tackling domestic abuse.  Much good work is going on, but we all need to do better.”

The next Essex Police Challenge meeting will take place on Monday November 4, 2013, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, at:

Chelmsford City Council Chamber
Duke Street
Chelmsford
CM1 1JE

Nick Alston added: “The Essex Police Challenge is an opportunity for you to get involved in the debate about policing our county, and I hope as many of you as possible will be part of the event.”

If you have a question you would like the PCC to ask the Chief Constable, please email it to:

[email protected]

Alternately, you can write to the PCC’s office marking your envelope “Essex Police Challenge”:

PCC for Essex
3 Hoffmanns Way
Chelmsford
Essex
CM1 1GU

There will also be an opportunity at the meeting for members of the audience to ask questions directly.  As many as possible of the submitted questions will be asked during the meeting.
