Exploited Into Essex
Modern-Day Slavery, Human Trafficking and Organised Immigration Crime Conference
Friday 1st July 2022
London International Cruise Terminal, Tilbury
Every year people come into our county and are exploited by organised crime groups. They are exploited in businesses, families and in our community. While some are found and can be helped, others travel through our county without leaving a trace. For others, like the 39 men and women from Vietnam found in a container, Essex is where they lost their lives to this tragic form of crime.
To raise awareness of this exploitation and what we can all do to tackle Human Trafficking, Organised Immigration Crime and Modern-Day Slavery, we are organising a conference on July the 1st with Essex Police, supported by the Essex Chambers of Commerce.
We are inviting national and local leaders from a variety of businesses, backgrounds, and professions to share their experiences and participate on the day.
The day will be made up of a series of presentations from national and international leaders in this field, testimonies from survivors and opportunities to network and share best practice
