Have your say in Epping Forest at PCC public meeting

Epping Forest residents can raise their crime and policing-related concerns with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex and the Essex Police District Commander.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting hosted by Nick Alston to discuss local crime and community safety issues in Epping.

The public meeting starts at 6.30pm on Wednesday October 28, 2015, and is being held at the Council Chamber, Civic Centre, High Street, Epping, CM16 4BZ
The meeting will concentrate on the proposals recently announced for police buildings and front counters, improving contact between police and members of the public, and the future of local policing.

Details of those proposals can be seen at the following links:

A more detailed briefing about Epping Forest district can be downloaded here.

A briefing document on crime trends in Epping Forest will be available shortly before the meeting. Members of the public can ask their questions of the PCC for Essex, and Epping Forest’s District Commander Chief Inspector Denise Morrissey, who will speak about the actions being taken by local officers to keep the area safe.

Nick Alston said: “I encourage everyone who lives in the Epping Forest area to come along to the meeting and raise the issues that matter to them around crime, policing and community safety. If you care about keeping Epping Forest safe, please join us and be part of the debate.”

The public meeting is scheduled for:

Time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday October 28
Location: Council Chamber, Civic Centre, High Street, Epping, CM16 4BZ

People who do not want to raise issues or concerns publicly at the meeting, can do so privately in a one to one surgery with the PCC directly ahead of the meeting.

To ensure the smooth running of the surgeries, these are run on an appointment-only basis. Any member of the public who would like a one to one with the PCC in the late afternoon of Wednesday October 28 can contact the PCC office directly on 01245 291600 or use the online booking form on the PCC website here.
