Put your question to the Chief Constable and PCC at the Essex Police Challenge

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex will be holding the Chief Constable publicly to account as he hosts an Essex Police Challenge event in Epping Forest.
The meeting, taking place on Thursday September 15, will see Roger Hirst asking questions of Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh about the force’s performance as well as other key issues affecting the community.

Members of the public will also be able to put their questions to both the Chief Constable and PCC about their crime and community safety-related concerns.

Technology permitting, the event will be live streamed here:

The two hour meeting, which takes place at Epping Forest College, Loughton, will concentrate on some of the priority areas of the new Police and Crime Plan for Essex:

– More local, visible, accessible policing
– Cracking down on anti-social behaviour
– Reversing the trend in serious violence
– Tackling gangs and organised crime

Roger Hirst, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said: “The Essex Police Challenge event is an important and unique opportunity for the residents of Essex to put their questions directly to the Chief Constable and to me about their crime and policing concerns both locally and across the county.
“The event is also part of my responsibility as Police and Crime Commissioner to hold the Chief Constable to account.
“I would encourage everyone to come along, ask your question and be part of the event.”
