Epping Forest District Public Meeting – Thursday, August 2

Do you want to know the latest on crime trends and proactive policing operations in the Epping Forest District? Do you have a question for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service’s senior team? If so make a date in your diary to come along to a public meeting being held in Epping, organised by Roger Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex.

The meeting is taking place on Thursday, August 2 between 6.30pm and 8pm at the Civic Offices, High Street, Epping, CM16 4BZ.

Mr Hirst said: “I hold regular public meetings across the length and breadth of the county. They are a great way to hear from local communities directly and we can help them resolve community safety issues. Very often a joint approach is the answer to a problem. With a panel of experts on hand, our public meetings are a great way to find the solutions together.”

Sitting alongside Roger Hirst will be Jane Gardner, the Deputy Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, and Chief Inspector Lewis Basford, Essex Police’s District Commander in Epping Forest. They will also be joined by Tony Clark, Group Manager South West Group Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and representatives from the local Community Safety Partnership.

Epping Forest District Council Portfolio Holder for Safer, Greener, Transport, Sam Kane said: “These meetings are a great opportunity for residents across the district to find out more about the current situation in policing and fire services in our area and to ask any questions they may have about the two services.”
