Cast your vote now for your community hero!

We need your help to select our Community Safety Hero People’s Choice Award Winner.

Mr Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, is holding his annual conference at Boreham House in Chelmsford on Thursday, March 15.

At the conference, which will be showcasing Partnerships in Action, Mr Hirst will be unveiling the winners and runners up for this year’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex Community Safety Awards.The awards recognise people from across the county who have made an ‘Outstanding Contribution to Community safety’.

People and organisations from across the county were nominated for the awards by members of the public. These have been shortlisted to six finalists who have been invited to the conference. The overall winner will receive £500 to go towards their work in the community and two highly commended winners will receive £300 each. You can also vote for the People’s Choice Award where the winner will be presented with £100.

Roger Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said: “Each and everyday people across Essex go out of their way to make a positive contribution to their communities. Whether that is through supporting vulnerable people, helping to prevent crime or making our communities safe there are a lot of people going above and beyond to keep their communities safe. These awards help recognise those people by celebrating the contribution they make and supporting them in making a difference.”

Details of the final six are below and you can vote online at… Be quick though as the poll will close at 12 noon on Thursday, March 15 shortly before the afternoon session of the conference begins.
